the Software makes the difference
The
delivery of a computer- controlled hot wire cutting system includes
a micro step- controller ( 2- axes control, 2- axes control with
rotary plate or 3- axes control), the software OptimPro and the
software FoamCut( copy righted). All programs work with WIN XP.
You
need a PLT- file for the cutting with two axes. These PLT- files
can be created with common vector- based programs such as AutoCad,
Corel Draw, Freehand, Signlab etc . Moreover, you can also use ready
data created for instance for foil plots .
However,
you need "real" 3D- data for the 3D- milling process. It can be
created with common 3D- programs. If you do not have such programs
at your disposal, you can purchase our efficient 3D- software "Rhinoceros".
You can create 3D-data based on photographs with the help of Photomodeller.

Data processing |
2D-Data: The issued HGL, PLT, WMF
or DXF- files are imported in "Optim Pro". Among other things,
the software defines the cuts' succession, nests forms and carries
out the simulation of the cutting process. When the optimizing
is done, the data is saved in PLT- format.
3D-Data: the STL- data modified or created using RhinoCAM. This software coordinates the production process with
the characteristics of the needed tools and materials. |

FoamCut processes PLT data. With the help of the export function
most 2D-Programme can produce such data.
3D-Data: Integrated in Rhinoceros & RhinoCAM. For FoamCut only the map data are exported.

OPTIM
PRO
This
easy- to- handle program optimizes your vector data for cutting
with hot wire. Here you can define the points on the object
through which the wire runs in: the so called “Einstechfahnen”.
Further, you have the opportunity to check the path of the cut in the “Pre-Flight” (the
track of the cut is simulated on the screen).

After you have already designed your
object and saved the data as PLT, HP/GL or WMF- files, "OptimPro"
helps you to prepare the cuts especially for working with the hot
wire cutting system.
During a milling process the milling cutter is taken out of the material from
one milling move to the next.
However, this is not what happens during cutting with hot wire. If the starting
points are defined in a wrong way or the cuts' succession is incorrect, the untreated
material or even the already finished
part could be destroyed.
Moreover, with OptimPro you can duplicate, move or rotate objects.
The cutting simulation and the indication of idle running allow you to supervise
the cut's future run.

FOAMCUT
FoamCut is a CNC-program designed for
running the foam cutting machine. This software is needed to
release ready data to the machine and the microstep-controller.

The cutting data from the program "OptimPro" have
a file extension eplt. In this format they can be processed by the "FoamCut" software.
At the same time "FoamCut" regulates also scaling, cutting speed and
referencing axes(defining the machine's zero point).
The current position of the cutting wire is shown on the monitor during the cutting
process.
This program is an additional accessory to the MC and SC- Series. Since it can
control three axes, it is needed if, for instance, the rotary plate is to be
connected as third axis (Y).
" FoamCut" has not been modified especially for the hot
wire cutting. Therefore, some features of the program are not needed
for the foam cutting process.

RHINOCEROS®
Rhinoceros
or Rhino for short allows precise 3D- nurbs- modeling with an ordinary
Windows- PC. It is a low- priced 3D- modeling tool for construction engineers,
architects and designers.
Rhinoceros creates, processes, analyzes and converts NURBS- round, -flat
and voluminous bodies with Windows. There are no limits concerning complexity,
grade or size. Polygonal networks and point clouds are supported by Rinoceros
as well.

Isy- CAM 3.0 consists of a universal 2D/3D-
CAD- and modeling program and a CAM- module for the following processes:
2D/3D- milling, drilling and engraving with a normal computer.
Since this software is included in the total price of the isel- machines, it
is too cheap for its wide capacity range. With isy- CAM the user can perform
2D/3D- construction - and designing tasks by working alternatively 2-or 3- dimensionally.
The user can create fast and easy complete drawings or if necessary, complex
3- dimensional objects based on the same data.
The software's application fields are machine construction, tool design and construction,
mold making as well as electro-technology, construction engineering and art design.
From the very beginning, you can use the program to sketch construction parts
and to transform them interactively.
The integrated worksheet with innumerable mathematic functions allows calculations
and professional processing of texts and numbers.
Unlike the previous version, the new isy- CAM 3.0 has a volume modeler (ACIS)
with a free-form integration. The new software version offers you a wide range
of options for modeling not only flat forms but also voluminous bodies.
The software is compatible with its old version, so that data created with isy-
CAM 2.0 can also be processed. Therewith, the existing flat forms can be rounded
off to voluminous bodies.
PhotoModeler is very efficient all-purpose Windows- program for extraction of
precise 3D- and texture- information from photographs or other eligible 2D- models.
Basically every photographed object or scene can be measured and modeled 3- dimensionally.
The resulting models are geometrically consistent and precisely scaled. The level
of specification depends on the customer's needs. Based on these models exactly
measured orthogonal views can be immediately created and exported. Together with
the pure measurement of objects, the main application is creation of 3D- models
for presentations, animations and design studies.
Meanwhile, cheaper programs for 3D- modeling based on photographs have been released.
Most of them are independent products or add-ons for existing design packages
that are mainly focused on multimedia application. Usually these programs do
not have the following options that such a professional product as the Photomodeler
offers in addition: extremely precise camera calibration, regarding specified
controlling information, no limits for the number, size and resolution of the
photographs, no simplification when processing prismatic objects, precise measuring
of points, lines and even elements, tabulated documentation, efficient support
for error identification and elimination, valuation of the reached speed, determination
of camera position, extraction of orthogonal perspectives and textures, measuring
of cylindrical objects, inverse camera, wide selection of import- and export
formats, DDE- programming interface, etc. These characteristics, however, are
indispensable preconditions for the creation of precise photograph- based and
universally suitable 3D- models..
